Commercial Photographer Wellington
Kaiwhakaahua

I am a Te Whanganui a Tara (Wellington)-based commercial photographer, specialising in events, commercial and small wedding photography. Priding myself on taking images that capture the essence of the subject, or the atmosphere of the occasion.

As a photographer I am energetic, highly creative, have an impeccable eye for detail, and never afraid to experiment.

If you're seeking a photographer who can deliver quality service as well as emotive and beautifully executed images, then I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

"Kia ora, I am Jo Mohi."

My love for photography began in my teens, spending countless days in Raglan with my two best friends, surfing and shooting film. During my big OE, my trusty Olympus mju II came everywhere with me, capturing new places and faces across Australia, the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.

When I returned home, my passion for photography only deepened. I decided to pursue formal study, completing a Diploma in Photography before going on to earn a Bachelor of Creativity. Although I hadn’t planned on staying in Wellington, it has become home, and it’s here that my photography business has continued to grow.

Documentary-style images are my specialty. "There is something truly magical about genuine and effortless moments - and they are wonderful to photograph," No event is too big or small, and throughout the process, I'll will strive to exceed your expectations!

I photograph people as they are.

Focusing on honest moments and the atmosphere of your event.

Kind Words

"When I was working with Jo, she was taking photos of a new range of clothes I had just completed. I hadn't made a collection before so I also hadn't worked with a photographer and didn't really know what I wanted! Jo made it very easy for me, worked very well with the model and knew just the right angles and lighting to make my outfits look their best. The majority of the pictures I got back are clean, crisp, clear, and well balanced which is just what I wanted for some good product shots, plus she got some brilliant attention-grabbing moody shots of a few of the more involved items. I really appreciated her help, support and quick responses the whole way through."
